KVK attended the Workshops. Through this
workshop farmers were made aware of different
Central and State Govt. schemes for farmers such as
Mukhyamantri Krishi Ashirvad Yojana, Soil Testing,
Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana, Parati Bhoomi
Yojana, Fasal Beema Yojana etc.Farmers were also
explained about the benefits of organic farming to
increase the water holding capacity of soil as well as
crop yield in current scenario of rain water deficit.
About 150 progressive farmers from different villages of Ranchi District were present in the workshop.
Main Focus was given on SRI method of paddy cultivation, water conservation, nutritional security and
organic farming.
Workshop on Rabi Crops
Rabi workshop was organized in Divyayan KVK in
joint collaboration with District Agriculture Office
and ATMA, Ranchi on 28th of November 2019 . The
programme was chaired by Swami Bhaveshananda
Maharaj. The other dignitaries were Shri Ashok
Sinha, DAO, Ranchi, District Soil Conservation Officer,
Ranchi, Shri Vijay Kumar, District Horticulture Officer,
Ranchi, District Cooperative Officer, Ranchi, District
Animal Husbandry Officer and Mrs. Meenakshi, Liquor
Prohibition Department, Ranchi. and scientists of
Divyayan KVK gave their valuable suggestions. .
Through this workshop farmers were made aware of
organic farming, role of microbes, preparation of Jeevaamrit at household level and organic mulching etc.
In the technical session scientists of different departments gave their presentation on different topics such
as plant protection, improved and high yielding varieties, Bee-keeping, Organic farming, Seed to seed
production, treatment and storage of seeds, information about CVIGIL application, Lumpy Skin etc, About
120 progressive farmers from different villages of Ranchi District were present in the workshop.
Kisan and Vigyan Diwas
To commemorate birth anniversary of the 5th Prime Minister of India, Shri Chaudhary Charan Singh, Kisan
and Vigyan Diwas was celebrated on 25th December 2019. The objective of the programme was to promote
awareness among the farmers of the district to understand the significance of their contributions to the
society and overall economic and social development of the country Around 35 farmers participated in
this programme
International Women’s Day
An awareness programme was organized to
celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March in
the joint collaboration with IFFCO. The objective of
this programme was to create awareness about Nutri
Garden, Bio fortified varieties developed by NARS
and Nutri Thali for nutritional security in rural areas.
The programme was attended by 40 Anganwadi
workers.
