The prize distribution ceremony was held on 7th
September, 2019 in which Sri Manoj Kumar,IAS,
CEO, Ranchi Municipal Corporation was the Chief
Guest and Sri S. K. Satpathy, IAS Member, Human
Rights Commission, Ranchi; Sri V. K. Gaddhyan,
Vice President of Managing Committee of the
Ashrama were the Guest of Honours on the
occasion. All the guests gave away the prizes to
the winners.
Delhi Public School, Ranchi students performed
well and secured highest position bagging 48
prizes comprising of 08-1st prizes, 18 -2nd prizes,
and 22-3rd prizes. Swami Vivkananda’s Chicago Recitation Competition
Address 125th Anniversary Shield went to them.
Vivekananda Vidya Mandir School students
secured the second positions among all schools,
with 31prizes consisting of 11-1st prizes, 08-2nd
prizes and 12-3rd prizes, Swami Madhavananda
Memorial Shield went to them.

This project was conducted for the integrated
development of the 250 children belonging to
economically backward families. It was mainly
aimed at developing physical, mental and
intellectual strength of the children. The project Pratibha Khoj and Essay Writing
was carried out at Kuturlowa, Obar, Badri and
Getalsud villages under Angara Block of Ranchi
District and Gutigara under Murhu Block of Khunti
District.
To improve the health of the children, they were
provided with nutritive food like milk (250 ml. to
each per day), gram, corn flakes, flattened rice,
dalia, ground nut, pea etc.
To inculcate better hygienic practice, toiletries like
tooth paste, tooth brush, coconut oil, soaps were
provided on regular basis to the beneficiaries .
The basic training on cleanliness, awareness
about general health and hygiene was given to Quiz and Speech Competition
the children by highly educated supervisors and
mentors who are experts in these areas. They
visited the unit weekly.
Value education session of 30 minutes was
conducted through pictorial moral storybooks at
least once in a week by the teacher and sometimes
by the supervisors and mentors.
The children were made to grow the habit of
planting flower, vegetables etc. Responsibilities
were distributed among the children. They worked
in team to clean the classroom and surroundings
