           About The University:
                amakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (formerly known as Ramakrishna
                Mission Vivekananda University) is the first step in actualization of Swami Vivekananda’s vision that
          RBelur Math would develop into an all-round University. It was declared by the Government of India
           through its Ministry of Human Resource Development on the advice of University Grants Commission as
           an institution deemed-to-be-university under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 by a Gazette Notification No. F.9-
           54/2004-U.3 dated 5 January 2005. The University was formally inaugurated by the Revered President
           of Ramarishna Math and Mission on 4 July 2005, the sacred day of mahasamadhi (passing way) of Swami
           Vivekananda. Considering the assets of vast experiences of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi
           for more than eight decades and Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) for more than three decades,
           Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belur Math decided to establish a
           faculty centre for ‘Integrated Rural & Tribal Development and Management (IRTDM)’ at Morabadi, Ranchi,
           Jharkhand. The decision was accepted and approval was given for this centre to function as an ‘Off-
           campus Faculty Centre’ by the University Grant Commission (UGC) after an inspection of six members
           team from 29 to 30 June 2006, vide notification No. F.6-96/2004(CPP-I) dated 3 July 2006. In 2019,
           faculty of ARTD has been restructured into two independent divisions for academic and administrative
           clarity.
           Programmes Offered by the Faculty Centre:

           a.  Five-year ‘Integrated M. Sc.’ in “Agriculture, Rural and Tribal Development (ARTD)”
           b.   Ph.D. in Agriculture, Rural and Tribal Development (ARTD).
           c.  One-year Diploma in Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD).
